Lexie Furman
At just 18, Lexie has taken the reins at Indie Hair and is already making waves in the world of hair and beauty. Her journey began when she left school halfway through Year 10 to dive headfirst into the hair industry – a decision sparked by a week of work experience that ignited her lifelong passion.
Lexie is all about fresh ideas and fearless creativity. She’s proof that you don’t need decades of experience to bring your dreams to life – just a big heart, a love for what you do, and a fierce determination to make people feel and look amazing.
When you sit in Lexie’s chair, you’re in for more than just a haircut – you’re in for a warm, authentic experience that celebrates your unique style. And if you’re a fan of head massages, Lexie’s are the absolute best – a little slice of bliss in the middle of your day.

Sophie Davies
Introducing Sophie — Our Newest Stylist , all the way from England, Liverpool!
We’re delighted to welcome Sophie to the salon. With over a decade of experience and a refined touch for long hair, Sophie brings UK expertise to the heart of Australia. Her specialties include lived-in balayage, voluminous blowdries, and premium hair extension methods tailored to enhance your natural beauty.
Expect a personalised, elevated experience — every time.
Sophie is available Tuesday to Thursday, 9am–4pm, with limited availability on request outside these hours.
Katie Jones
Relocating from the UK to sunny Brisbane in 2014, Katie is a well known face at Indie hair after joining us in 2020. Katie has worked part time since then after having her twin girls and most recently a son, Katie is now welcoming new clients as she balances work and family life.
Katie thrives on building a strong rapport and genuine client connection and believes it to be the cornerstone of her success. Katie passionately collaborates with Original Mineral (O&M) products, incorporating them into her salon services since 2016. As a hairstylist, she chooses O&M for its quality and effectiveness, enhancing the overall experience for her clients. The clean and luxury products have become an integral part of her toolkit, reflecting the more natural and organic approach to hair that Katie excels at.
With a passion for brunettes, bobs and everything in between, Katie is committed to creating not just beautiful hairstyles but enduring connections with those who trust her with their hair journey. Katie’s authentic dedication to clients and passion for hair styling and colouring create an inviting atmosphere in our salon. Making sure you feel at home, with a promise to fulfil all your hair needs and desires.
PADDY CONNOR
With nearly 30 years in the hair industry, Paddy started his career at the age of 16 at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon in London.
Honing his skills for over 10 years within the salon environment as a cutting specialist, when the opportunity to teach in the Sassoon academies was offered, Paddy jumped at the chance to follow his passion into education. This passion lead to moving to Australia where Paddy has continued creating bespoke education programs for salons and companies across Australia.
When behind the salon chair, Paddy’s years of experience, including working with several celebrities, shows through in the professionalism and high standard of service towards his clients.
